Folder Protect

Security has always been an important concern for most users. Every user has his own personal folders, where he stores credit card information, password reminders, pictures or video files, sensitive documents. Getting this data on the wrong hands could be a big problem. This is possible if the user has a public computer or his laptop gets stolen. Thieves could jeopardize his security and gain access to vital information, like bank accounts or passwords. A way to protect this information is to secure it with a password. A software that can do just that is Folder Protect. The name is highly intuitive and reveals the software's main function, protecting any folder stored on the hard disk.

Installation is as easy as it can get and gets completed quickly. Folder Protect can run on every Windows operating system and on most of the computer configurations available.

The interface is extremely intuitive and self-explanatory. When running the program for the first time, the user is asked to enter a master password for protecting folders. This password will be used to access the program later, for locking and unlocking folders. All the user needs to do for protecting a folder is to add it into the program and select the type of protection he wants, like making the folder hidden, unacceptable or only readable.

Folder Protect does not only secure folders, but can also protect entire drives and even programs or file types. The options section features the possibility to completely hide all the traces of Folder Protect, including the installation folder, using a key combination, so nobody will know it's running. Besides that, there is an option for protecting folders even if a user boots into safe mode.
